WSF Awards New High School Scholarships and Opens a Second Location!

WSF is excited to announce that, because of our wonderful donors, we are awarding 22 new high school scholarships in Dago, Kenya for students who will start high school in July. Child sponsorship in Kenya is one of our primary goals and this will bring our total scholarships awarded to 101!

In addition, we are now opening in a second location.  Eighteen of these scholarships are going to Dago children and four of them are going to students from The Kilgoris Project. This area is a couple of hours from Dago.  Of course, half of these are going to the girl child and half to the boy child.  We are helping children overcome the barriers they face to get an education by giving them real hope for a better future.

We Have Begun to Launch New Locations

We have begun to scale our model to show we can do this in more than one location.  We take our model with us and the children from The Kilgoris Project will get the same Mentor/Coordinator Support as our children from Dago.  In other words, we will be with them every step of the way to praise them on what they are doing well and help them overcome the enormous challenges they face every day so that they can lead happy, successful lives that benefit from the power of education!

This is all a big step forward in our mission to become an enduring foundation that helps create a world where every child gets a great education.

Please let us know if you have questions.

Thank you to all our donors for making this happen.  We will give you more details next month as these students are getting ready to begin their high school experience. If you would like to learn more about child sponsorship in Kenya, please reach out to us today!

Be well, stay healthy and be kind!

Asante Sana!
